​In the spring of 2023, Bruin Belles proudly hosted its 25th annual PLAY Day. This Belle tradition brings an average of 100 children from the Boys and Girls Club of East Los Angeles to the UCLA campus for a day of fun and games with Bruin athletes. The athletes come from an array of UCLA teams, including football, volleyball, soccer, and women's gymnastics.



The UCLA athletes encourage the children to keep active, be fit, and stay in school. To model these values, Belles actively participate in the physical events with the children on PLAY Day. Each year we receive positive feedback from the Boy and Girls Club of East Los Angeles, hearing that the children benefit greatly from this type of interaction with the student athletes.  On top of that, it's one of the most fun and rewarding experiences of Bruin Belles.
