LEADERSHIP THROUGH SERVICE SINCE 1946

Activism

Bruin Belles Service Association's mission statement is leadership through service, and we understand that we cannot claim to serve our community if we do not serve the entire community. Because of this, Bruin Belles proudly stands in solidarity with the Black community of UCLA and of our country against racism and police brutality. We appreciate and admire those in our community, namely the Afrikan Student Union at UCLA, and other Black orgs on campus, who continue to organize against the systems of oppression that plague our society.

We believe that meaningful actions begin with education. Each quarter, Bruin Belles holds multiple events that discuss important contemporary issues and the ways in which individuals can contribute. To help provide further resources for those interested, each month Bruin Belles will be highlighting a new book, movie, and podcast to help spread awareness for these important causes.

Book of the Month
